Since it's inception I've been following Bill Guffey's Virtual Paintout. Bill chooses a destination on the planet. Using Google Maps artists use the 'street view' of the specified area and find a subject to paint. Once Bill receives the painting he posts it on the blog. I've submitted a few paintings myself.
The last painting I submitted was of a winery on the island of Jersey. While painting I realized that my favorite landscape subject to paint is vineyards.
And so this project was born . . . . .
With each painting I will include the Google street view map so you can take a virtual tour of the area.
